Shane Dwight learned his blues from a man who played with John Lee Hooker. Growing up in Morgan Hill, he studied under Gilroy guitarist John Garcia, then took that schooling to Tennessee, where Grammy winning producer Kevin McKendree cut two records with him using Delbert McClinton's own band: Rob McNelley on guitar, Lynn Williams on drums, Steve Mackey on bass. A Hundred White Lies climbed to number 3 on SiriusXM's Bluesville. This House brought in Bekka Bramlett, daughter of Delaney and Bonnie, and John Hiatt's drummer Kenneth Blevins. USA Today calls him an ace songwriter. He plays with a growl in his voice and fire in his hands, and on August 27 he comes back to the Bay Area that made him. Two sets only.

Learn more about Shane Dwight

Before Nashville, Dwight was teaching at the School of the Blues in San Jose while already touring, a working musician's apprenticeship that shows up in how little he wastes on stage. His albums land on labels like Eclecto Groove with Nashville's best sidemen behind him, but the live show leans harder than any of them. Expect two full sets, a guitar worked without mercy, and a voice built for a room this size.
