Junior Wells pulled Albert Castiglia out of the Miami club scene in 1996 to play lead guitar in his touring band, and the blues has never let go of him since. Castiglia has become one of the most decorated names in modern blues rock: Blues Music Award wins for the albums Masterpiece and I Got Love, 2023 Blues Rock Artist of the Year, and a 2024 Blues Rock Album win for Blood Brothers, his celebrated partnership with Mike Zito produced by Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith. In 2025 that band hit the road behind an unlikely frontman, Bill Murray. Now Castiglia lands on Mason Street fresh off his new album Grits & Glory for two 80 minute sets. Born in New York and raised in Miami, Castiglia was working days as a social services investigator when Junior Wells heard him play and changed his life. His 2024 album Righteous Souls earned four Blues Music Award nominations, including Song of the Year for Mama, I Love You.
