For more than fifty years, Oakland guitarist and vocalist Bobby Young has been a fixture of Bay Area blues, a player whose road has run alongside John Lee Hooker, Sugar Pie DeSanto, Maria Muldaur, and Jimmy McCracklin. He pours Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and Sly Stone into a sound all his own, then passes the torch on the bandstand: his son Nick Young stands beside him on second guitar, making the BYP a genuine family affair. That electric blend of blues, rock, funk, and soul earned Northern California Entertainers Music Awards Blues Band of the Year honors in 2016. Five decades of groove, two guitars, one intimate room. Reserve your table before this one sells out.
