Harrison Flynn
Experience world-class blues, dinner, and drinks — all in one intimate setting.
SHOW · 6:30 PM · DOORS 5:15 PM
Admission: $20 - $35
Harrison Flynn plays the Duane Allman parts in Idlewild West, the Allman Brothers tribute he joined in 2015, and the slide work tells you the moment he plugs in. He grew up in Martinez, placed in the top ten of the International House of Blues Foundation competition in 2012, and opened for Buckcherry at the Whisky a Go Go fiftieth anniversary show with his band Brave Ulysses. He studied jazz at the California Jazz Conservatory in Berkeley and guitar performance at the Los Angeles College of Music, then folded Indian classical sitar into a sound already built on Clapton tone, Rory Gallagher grit, and Derek Trucks slide. Now the trio comes home for one set on Mason Street.

Learn more about Harrison Flynn

Flynn came up through the Bay Area club circuit, playing 924 Gilman, DNA Lounge, and Bottom of the Hill before Los Angeles pulled him south for music school. He co-founded Brave Ulysses in 2011 and cut its first full length at Tiny Telephone in San Francisco. The sitar he picked up along the way still turns up in his solos, which is why his blues never quite lands where you expect it to.
