Kyle Rowland
Experience world-class blues, dinner, and drinks — all in one intimate setting.
Kyle Rowland took his first harmonica lesson at age ten from the legendary Rick Estrin, and two decades later Estrin and Kid Andersen produced his breakout 2025 album Not Holding Back!, a record that earned a 2026 Blues Music Award nomination. Now the youngest artist ever inducted into the Sacramento Blues Hall of Fame, Rowland blows harp with the ferocious attack he learned chasing giants like James Cotton and Charlie Musselwhite. A Hohner endorsee and a Memphis International Blues Challenge semifinalist in both 2024 and 2025, he fronts a band that swings from deep Chicago and Texas blues to vintage soul and roadhouse R&B. When he brings that band to Biscuits and Blues for two shows on August 7, expect a room that will not sit still.
Learn more about Kyle Rowland
Raised on the Sacramento blues scene, Rowland grew up idolizing harp masters like James Cotton, Lazy Lester, and Charlie Musselwhite, then earned his own place among them. His band tears through festivals and juke joints across the West Coast, mixing traditional Chicago and Texas blues with mid century soul and funk. On record and on stage, he plays with the fire of a bluesman twice his age and none of the restraint.
